The Borough of Islington is found in the North London area, and is a mix of iconic English architecture, independent shopping, history, and nightlife.
Here the Victorian and Georgian buildings were redeveloped after the torments of the Second World War; from the 1960s the neighbourhood became the “residence” of the middle-class and of many artists and writers, including George Orwell and Evelyn Waugh.
